Janet Rogers is a Mohawk/Tuscarora writer, performance and media poet and radio host/producer. She has 4 books to date, Splitting the Heart (Ekstasis Editions 2007), Unearthed (Leaf Press 2010) Red Erotic (Ojistah Publishing 2011) and Peace In Duress (Talonbooks 2014). She writes from a distinct and unique Indigenous perspective and records her poetry with sound, song, effects and love. Janet Rogers was poet laureate of Victoria BC (Lekwungen traditional territory) from 2012 -2015.
