Arc’s Poet-in-Residence program, now entering its 7th year, provides personal mentoring to selected emerging poets from across Canada. Between 30 and 60 poets participate each year. Previous Poets-in-Residence were Elyse Partridge, Roo Borson, Rob Winger, Tim Bowling, Sylvia Legris and, most recently, Marilyn Dumont. Dumont, along with selected mentees, will be a featured guest at VerseFest, Ottawa’s international poetry festival, in March, 2016. Many poets, including Vincent Colistro, Christine McNair, Ben Ladouceur, Stevie Howell, Phoebe Wang, have successfully used the program to help further their literary careers.
