In Arc 98, President Lise Rochefort ponders kindness, and “poetry’s expanded presence in the lives of Canadians.”

It is a splendid collection of new poems, reviews, and essays to dig into. This year, Morgan Christie’s “or both” won Arc’s Poem of the Year contest, with Khashayar Mohammadi’s “A thirst-bot named Istiqfar” taking Honourable Mention.
