The Diana Brebner Prize is awarded yearly for the best poem written by a National Capital Region poet who has not yet been published in book form. The prize honours the late Diana Brebner, an award-winning Ottawa-based poet who was devoted to fostering literary talent among new, local writers.

This year, Bardia Sinaee is joining Arc Poetry Magazine to help us celebrate emerging poets through this prize.

Bardia Sinaee is the author of Intruder (House of Anansi, 2021), which received the Trillium Book Award for Poetry and was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. His poems have appeared in magazines across Canada and in several editions of Best Canadian Poetry. He was born in Tehran, Iran, and currently lives in Ottawa.
