Contest

The February Winner of the “Arc Award of Awesomeness” is . . .

winner (without doo-dad) photographed by Marion Voysey

Catherine Graham, for the poem “Spell”!

Susan Olding and the Arc Poetry Magazine Board also selected three honourable mentions:

    • “searching through the rubble of our indifference” by Daniela Elza
    • “Sundogs” by Julian Day
    • “Turn” by Leslie Casey

“Spell”

Death’s physics, a curious trick.
Quarks, leptons, muons.
No sheet
or ghostly tablecloth.
You came as hover.
Music in smoke absence.
Me, alone
in the vinegar hour
as the sun checked down
without sound-checks
for pleasure.
The light
you left
rayed into touch.

You still have time to enter Arc’s next Award of Awesomeness!
