If you subscribe to Canadian literary magazines, you’ll doubtlessly have seen Prairie Fire‘s Spring issue “Work Matters.” Discussions about livelihood and labour and all of the things poets do to keep finding time to write are discussions that Arc wants to keep going. We’re thinking about the variations that “labour” might manifest in caregiving, activism, volunteering, and other traditional and non-traditional forms, as well as the ways work and poetry intersect with other aspects of identity. Send us your poems on labour and livelihood however they appear in your life.
The deadline for submissions to this special themed issue has been extended, and submissions will now close June 15. Submissions should follow our general guidelines for poetry.
